"Because going to the moon shouldn't mean saying goodbye to everyone on Earth, NASA is looking at virtual worlds (though the government agency prefers to call them "immersive synthetic environments") to connect lunar-bound astronauts to those of us stuck here on terra firma. NASA's been using Second Life to collaborate for a while and has worked on outreach in Whyville, but this is pretty exciting new direction. "When NASA returns to the moon in 2020, the people of Earth will be able to share that experience," said Assistant Research Scientist Daniel Laughlin. "Not just through the passive medium of television like the last time we went to the moon, but through the virtual experience of a persistent immersive synthetic environment." [via O'reilly]"
Tu as raison de continuer la démarche d'ouverture commencée avec l'armée. La NASA est aussi sur SL. Cela montre aussi le sérieux et l'intérêt de ce nouveau monde. La capacité de création et d'imagination est forte sur SL. Le film est à voir!
